Having taken a Client’s brief, Paul develops the strategy, writes the copy and prepares the initial layout. He then works alongside the leading Mac Designers at Soar Print and Incognito Design to take the work through final design stages and into completed finished art. This can be for a wide variety of projects including magazine ads, brochures, posters, leaflets, backing cards and other point of sale items, logos, business cards, sales order forms etc.
In conjunction with Soar Print, Paul Jolly Consulting Ltd then prints the final product. Soar has excellent capabilities in offset (A3, A2 & A1 presses), digital and large format printing. Where specialised printing in other areas is required, Paul works with several other suppliers to cover these cases.
Paul Jolly Consulting Ltd offers Clients the ability to access the account management skills of a precise and strategic thinker who will be engaged in the entire process from idea generation through to production and delivery. Low overheads and a fluid structure allow Paul to deliver timely and cost-effective solutions for his Clients.
Paul spent 26 years as an Account Director in some of NZ’s best advertising agencies (Ilotts, Bates, Rialto, Blanshard Sommerville Woodroffe and Young & Rubicam), working on major accounts in FMCG, automotive, personal care, airlines, fast food, wine, building products, pharmaceuticals, and much more.
Paul then set up Paul Jolly Consulting in 2001 realising there was a niche for boutique consultancy that provided the services he offered. Clients benefit from the personal and meticulous service and attention to their account provided by Paul, whilst also having access to the highest quality design and print resources through Paul’s close working relationship with Soar Print and Incognito Design.
The company has a small group of core clients, three of them having been with Paul Jolly Consulting Ltd since the first year.

Where input is required that is outside of Paul’s core competencies he then briefs the specialists and project manages that part of the campaign. This can include media planning, buying & placing, high end/specialised photography, market research, jingle writing, radio & television commercial production, etc.
